Our notes
What has impressed us most is how well this harness has lasted. It has been through wet and muddy walks, woodland runs, swimming and plenty of general everyday use, and it is still in very good condition several years on.
The front and rear attachment points are one of the most useful parts of the design. We normally use the rear attachment for straightforward walking, but the front point gives us another option when a little more control is useful or when a dog decides they would rather pull in a different direction.
It has also proved easy to live with. Ours has been washed and air-dried numerous times — Bandit loves nothing more than wading into mud — and has held up well. A family member also uses the same harness in a smaller size and another colour. For the price, it has been one of those pieces of walking gear that simply keeps doing its job.
How we assessed it
Testing methodology
Field tested. We have used the Truelove Original No-Pull Harness regularly with Bandit for several years across numerous walks and weather conditions.
Our assessment is based on long-term use rather than a short test period. A family member also owns the same harness in a smaller size and another colour, giving us some additional familiarity with the product across more than one example.
